Since 1986, His Caring Place has been home to hundreds of young girls who experienced an unexpected pregnancy at a young age. Staff and volunteers lovingly walk beside these women in need, offering them a second chance to make a better life for themselves and for generations to come.

The King’s Academy Cheer Team top spot
The King’s Academy cheer team is living proof that hard work does indeed pay off in the end. The competition cheer team, from The King’s Academy private Christian school, recently competed against 57 other teams during a semifinal round, earning them a spot in the state finals. Last month, on Feb. 6, the team battled it out at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, with 14 other teams, all hoping to take home the desired 2010 FHSAA State Title.

Personhood bill introduced 3 states
Personhood has expanded into three new states, including Iowa, Virginia and Kansas.
On Jan. 13, Virginia introduced HB 112, a bill to guarantee the constitutional rights of pre-born children.
Shortly after, Iowa introduced HJR 2003, proposing a joint resolution for an amendment including a right to life for all men and women, irrespective of age. The same day, Kansas submitted a personhood amendment to the state’s Office of Revisor of Statutes.

10 years of Good News
When my wife and I realized that God had called us to start a Christian community newspaper back in 1999, we did what everyone else did back then. We went to the library.
We checked out books on how to publish a newspaper, because the internet wasn’t as overloaded with information as it is today. It’s hard to imagine that four months later the first issue of The Good News was on the streets. And now 10 years have gone by. This newspaper is a true testimony of what God can do.
