The mission of the Crockett Foundation is to help build character, develop leaders, and improve communities – one child at a time. Founded in 2002 by brothers Zack and Henri Crockett, the Crockett Foundation has positively impacted the lives of many children in Broward County. With a focus on math, reading, health, and technology for middle-school students, the Foundation’s programs have directly helped more than 1,000 students since its inception. Four programs form the core of the Foundation’s efforts: Bridge Builders Coding in Academics Learning Together Youth Force, and Comcast’s Digital Connectors The Crockett Foundation also organizes and executes the annual Family Health and Community Festival, one of Broward County’s largest school-supply donation events. Attended by more than 2,500 students every year, the Family and Health Community Festival provides backpacks (filled with school supplies) and shoes. It also offers free physical exams, free immunizations, and free haircuts – all in a progressive circuit-style setting. The Crockett Foundation also has an annual Life Skills & Football Camp which has produced scores of promising college graduates and NFL athletes. Hundreds of the camp’s attendees have received full scholarships to major universities. Previously, the Crockett Foundation’s annual Thanksgiving Feed the Homeless program has fed hundreds of people who are either homeless or near homeless. Currently, the Crockett Foundation has partnered up with Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale and Feeding South Florida in order to meet the needs of our program’s participants, their families, and the community. Overall, the Crockett Foundation has donated more than $150,000 in scholarships to local high schools, college students, and recreation centers since its inception. The Crockett Foundation is committed to Broward County and continues to strive for bettering the lives of our youth – one child at a time.
