Bike to Build Ride

On Saturday, February 18, First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale and Habitat for Humanity Broward County will partner to host the 5th Annual Habitat for Humanity Bike to Build Ride.

This year, participants will have the option of riding along a scenic 25-mile bike route or a new 50-mile route. The ride begins at 8:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale and will continue along Las Olas Boulevard and A1A North to Hillsboro Inlet in Pompano Beach. The 25-milers will turn around at the inlet, while the 50-milers will turn around at Spanish River Park in Boca Raton. Bikers on both routes will then ride back along A1A South to Las Olas Boulevard and complete their ride at the church. Following the ride, there will be a brunch at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

For those who aren’t yet comfortable doing long bike rides, First Downtown Bicycles will be offering training rides on January 21 and 28 and February 4 at 8:00 a.m.
