To encourage fathers’ engagement in their children’s life, fathers with their children will participate in an obstacle course, 3-point shoot-out, trivia, tricycle races, swimming relays and other educational and team building activities. This event will be held on March 14 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Joseph C. Carter Park, 1450 W. Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. It is free and open to the community and promises to be a fun-packed day with prizes, food and refreshments.The more you play and learn, the more raffle tickets you earn to exchange for cool giveaways.
Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County teams up again with The City of Fort Lauderdale, Broward County Public Schools Head Start and Title I, OIC of Broward County and other community organizations with support from the Children’s Services Council to offer the 3rd Annual Me and My Dad Challenge for fathers with their children.
