19th Annual “Forget Me Not” To babies

Each year, more than 300 babies in Broward County die before celebrating their first birthday.  On October 24 the 19th Annual Forget Me Not event will be held at the Anne Kolb Nature Center, 751 Sheridan St, Hollywood, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. This memorial tradition enables families and friends to remember all babies who have died but are not forgotten through an afternoon of shared stories, a butterfly release and a special memorial program. We have added “A Walk to Remember” on the Nature Trails at the Anne Kolb Nature Center from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.

Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County has devoted the past 27 years to providing resources and education to families to assist in reducing fetal and infant deaths, while also remembering those who have passed.

Anyone interested in participating in the Forget Me Not Event – attending, donating, or sponsoring- should contact Sandra Despagne, Forget Me Not Event Coordinator, at 954.765.0550 ext. 344 or by email at [email protected]. For more information visit www.HMHBBroward.org.
