The Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami (MOCA) is offering two summer camp programs consisting of five 2-week sessions. Each session will offer a different theme to introduce students to variety of contemporary art or design techniques.
The Creative Arts Camp will allow students, ages 6 through 12, to experiment with a variety of creative techniques in a museum environment based on the works from MOCA’s permanent collection. Each class is taught by experienced Miami-based artist/educators who will provide age appropriate instruction and activities that are inspired by great works of art, dating from antiquity to the present day.
The Dynamic Design Camp will give students, ages 11 through 13, the opportunity to engage and learn through hands-on workshops, informative talks from working designers, and behind-the-scenes tours of their design studios. Students will use the inspiration they gather to build model homes and fill them with soft furnishings of their own creation.
