DESCRIPTION:Palm Beach Atlantic University\, S Flagler Dr\, West Palm Beach will be holding its 2nd Annual African American Read-In on February 16 from 11 – 11:50 a.m. \nParticipants will enjoy a storytime\, crafts\, and snacks as we enjoy selections from some of the best African American children’s literature. \nEducators (and teachers in training)\, childcare centers\, parents with children\, and homeschooler classes are all welcome and encouraged to attend this free and open event. \nThe National African American Read-In was started in 1990 by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English with a mission to make literacy and reading a significant part of Black History Month.
