DESCRIPTION:Habitat for Humanity of Broward is holding applications for its homeownership program on its website until March 31. \nThe new energy efficient\, two-story townhomes will include three to four bedrooms\, garages\, modern kitchens\, landscaped yards\, and hurricane impact windows. \nThese locations are close to city centers\, schools\, churches\, recreational and shopping amenities with easy access to transportation and major traffic corridors. \nThe application process has four steps that includes a pre-qualification questionnaire\, orientation\, financial analysis review and face-to-face interview. Successful applicants can expect to move into a home within 12 to 18 months. \nQualifications include but are not limited to the following: \n\nMust be a first-time homebuyer.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident.\nMust be a current Broward County resident or working in Broward (for a year or more).\nMust demonstrate a need for affordable housing.\nMust be within HUD income guidelines.\nMust be committed to making affordable mortgage payments.\nMust be able to show $3\,000 in savings and pay $2\,700 in escrow.\n\nInterested families can visit https://habitatbroward.org/apply/ to start the pre-application process after February 15th.

DESCRIPTION:The Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade will be hosting its 56th Annual Golf Classic in Memory of Charles “Bebe” Rebozo at Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club\, 13610 Deering Bay Dr\, Coral Gables on March 13 from 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. \nFun on-course contests\, exciting raffle prizes\, lunch\, open bar and a dinner banquet with an award ceremony are all included with the purchase of a foursome or sponsorship package\, starting at $2\,750. \nProceeds will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s services and programs at its five Clubs which provide mentoring\, educational after-school programs\, homework assistance\, tutoring\, athletic programs and seasonal camps for area youth who need them the most. \nRegistration will start at 10 a.m.\, along with a driving range for players who wish to practice their swing. Lunch service and a complimentary open bar will commence at 11 a.m. The scramble-style tournament will begin with a shotgun start at noon. Starting at 6 p.m.\, players will enjoy an awards ceremony and dinner\, featuring a live raffle inside Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club’s newly renovated banquet hall. Raffle prizes include golf aficionado items\, restaurant and vacation packages and more. \nAll golfers will receive a complimentary sponsor-branded swag bag with a sponsor-branded polo\, umbrella\, golf balls and other takeaways. Parking\, green fees\, cart and all meals and beverages are all included.
