DESCRIPTION:Habitat for Humanity of Broward is holding applications for its homeownership program on its website until March 31. \nThe new energy efficient\, two-story townhomes will include three to four bedrooms\, garages\, modern kitchens\, landscaped yards\, and hurricane impact windows. \nThese locations are close to city centers\, schools\, churches\, recreational and shopping amenities with easy access to transportation and major traffic corridors. \nThe application process has four steps that includes a pre-qualification questionnaire\, orientation\, financial analysis review and face-to-face interview. Successful applicants can expect to move into a home within 12 to 18 months. \nQualifications include but are not limited to the following: \n\nMust be a first-time homebuyer.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident.\nMust be a current Broward County resident or working in Broward (for a year or more).\nMust demonstrate a need for affordable housing.\nMust be within HUD income guidelines.\nMust be committed to making affordable mortgage payments.\nMust be able to show $3\,000 in savings and pay $2\,700 in escrow.\n\nInterested families can visit https://habitatbroward.org/apply/ to start the pre-application process after February 15th.

DESCRIPTION:The Museum of Contemporary Art\, North Miami (MOCA)\, 770 NE 125th Street\, Miami will be holding their Spring Art Camp from March 20 – 24\, from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. \nThis spring\, MOCA is inviting children ages 7-12 to join the museum for in-person camp where they can explore their creativity through a series of art classes. Each day\, children will be introduced to an array of art and design techniques in a creative environment. Campers will create a variety of artwork using styles and techniques including collage\, optical illusion\, sculpture\, abstract work and more. \n  \nWhat campers should bring:  \n\nWear comfortable clothing. Campers should wear shorts or pants and closed-toe shoes (Crocs are not permitted).
