Chris Lane and Julia Gackenbach of First Priority

On April 21st, 2020 (StrikeForce 421 Day!), the StrikeForce 421 Board of Trustees announced the 2020 Grant Finalists, giving away 100 percent of funds received for this grant year. Rather than postponing their event, originally planned for April 24, 2020, at the Broward Center Riverview Ballroom, StrikeForce 421 decided to get creative and host a Virtual Grand Reveal Celebration – because ministries need funding now more than ever.

Together with StrikeForce 421 Ambassadors, Pledge Partners, Grant Finalists, and the greater StrikeForce 421 Community, the Board gathered on Zoom to announce the grant recipients and give away $137,000. After opening with prayer and a hymn produced by The Village Hymns with Church United and worship leaders throughout South Florida, the StrikeForce 421 Board of Trustees was ecstatic to award grants to all five grant Finalists!

4Kids was awarded $36,000 to provide therapy services for foster and adoptive families caring for children.

Saints International was awarded $33,500 to purchase and equip a prototype van with all the resources necessary to establish a mobile Saints program for kids all over South Florida.

First Priority of South Florida was awarded $16,050 to underwrite the cost to purchase, ship and distribute 5,000 First Priority Bibles to high school students without access to God’s Word.

Firewall Centers was awarded $25,725 to fund the start-up of a new elementary center, serving over forty students.

Taylor’s Closet was awarded $25,725 to develop Bloom in a Box, a scalable template to introduce Bloom at any high school, allowing Taylor’s Closet to expand to Piper High School in the 2020-21 school year.

In the midst of a global pandemic, the StrikeForce 421 Board of Trustees was beyond excited to give the South Florida community something to celebrate. To learn more about StrikeForce 421 and become part of this community of impactful women, please visit them online at strikeforce421.org.
