Nearly 3,000 Thanksgiving Meals Served

The Caring Place at Miami Rescue Mission | Broward Outreach Centers served hundreds of turkey dinners with all the fixings this Thanksgiving to South Florida’s needy, hungry and homeless. Many took advantage of getting a shower, having a health checkup and a haircut plus they received bags with clothing and hygiene items. Over 300 volunteers were on site at Broward and Miami serving this thanksgiving. BiG Children’s Foundation Announces Future Youth Education Center

BiG Children’s Foundation held “Twirl for Tomorrow” on November 10th, presenting a night of vision and fundraising for the future of teens in foster care. During the family-style dinner, Joyce Feldman, president and CEO of BiG Children’s Foundation, officially announced plans for the development and opening of a boutique Education Center in 2024, along with their goal of raising $575,200 to fund the project. “Together with our Community Partners, we are purposing to change the trajectory for teens in foster care,” said Feldman. “NAMIWalks” Raises Funds for Mental Health

NAMI Broward County hosted its annual “NAMIWalks” event, presented by Cox Media Group, on Saturday, October 7th at Nova Southeastern University. Legacy Partners Dinner Celebrates Lives Saved

Musical Artist Matt Hammitt, of Sanctus Real, performed at the Hope Women’s Centers Legacy Partners Dinner on September 28th, then shared the heart wrenching story of receiving news that his newborn son’s heart had stopped beating. His son, Bowen was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a condition that leaves the heart severely underdeveloped.
