Over $100,000 Donated to Nonprofits for Mental Health Related Services

BBX Capital Foundation presented over $100,000 in grants to seven Broward County nonprofit organizations that provide supportive services to local residents with mental health or co-occurring diagnoses during a Grant Presentation Reception at South Florida Wellness Network on June 20. BBX Capital Foundation partnered with Broward Behavioral Health Coalition (BBHC) who helped coordinate the event and identify the organizations who received the grants. It’s hard to believe that Big Cardio celebrated its 15th year of bringing the community together through a 5K, fitness, sports and fun. Knox Theological Seminary Graduates 31st Class

Knox Theological Seminary celebrated the commencement of the thirty-first graduating class on Friday, May 12, 2023, hosted by Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. This year, Knox conferred 43 graduates (not all pictured) who received degrees in Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies, Christian and Classical Studies, Master of Divinity, Doctor of Ministry, and Certificate in Biblical Languages. Volunteers Pack Care Kits for Disaster Response

Volunteers packed 2,400 women’s care kits Saturday at Food For The Poor’s first Hearts United Community Day event of 2023 in celebration of National Volunteer Week April 16 to 22. Volunteer Care Kits Buoyed by community spirit, 141 volunteers moved to music and cheered each other on in the charity’s Coconut Creek warehouse as they filled bags and boxes with essential items such as wash cloths, shampoo and feminine hygiene products to help the charity prepare for the upcoming hurricane season.
