On Sunday, January 12th Riverside Church celebrated an incredible milestone in the life of Riverside Church with their Pastoral Transition Service. They honored Pastor Brian Brookins for his faithful leadership and legacy and joyfully installed his successor Pastor Winston Miller as the new Lead Pastor.
Brookins said he will remain on the leadership team at Riverside Church while expanding his leadership role at Church United, nurturing the Soul Care of local pastors and ministry leaders.
About Winston Miller
Winston Miller has served in various pastoral ministry roles since 2001 as worship pastor, teaching pastor and minister of operations. Most recently he was church planting pastor of Grace Life Church, before joining the pastoral staff at Riverside Church, according to the church website.
The son of Jamaican immigrants, Miller was born in Massachusetts yet raised in Broward County. He earned a BS in Electrical Engineering at Florida A&M University, worked in business management and consulting, and later attended Reformed Theological Seminary from which he earned a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in counseling.

Miller has a great passion for family and community, especially to see those who have been transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ become agents of transformation in their own families. Winston Miller and his wife Brenda have been married since 1996. They are proud parents of three children.
