Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), 10501 FGCU Blvd, Fort Myers will be hosting the inaugural Kindness Summit Without Borders from May 15 – 16.

The summit brings together influential figures locally and globally to share how kindness can serve as a powerful force for positive change.

The ticketed two-day event is open to the public. On May 15, speakers will focus on research-driven insights into kindness and business leadership, including its impact on organizational performance and the bottom line. The day will conclude with a keynote address by author Brian McLaren, who will discuss his recently published book, Life After Doom: Wisdom and Courage for a World Falling Apart.

Saturday’s program is focused on kindness in community with a diverse range of kindness topics including kindness in education, healthcare, aging, self-compassion, along with an interfaith panel and discussion. The summit concludes with a dinner and film screening featuring an award-winning documentary, “The Power of Small,” which highlights the transformative impact of everyday acts of kindness through the stories of six individuals given money to create positive change.

Tickets can be purchased for the one-day or two-day summit. Tickets are also available separately for the keynote and the film screening. All sessions are designed to be interactive throughout the two-day summit including opportunities to talk to the speakers and the k20 leadership group.

Jaclyn Lindsey: CEO of kindness.org, a global nonprofit building evidence-based programs for kinder classrooms, communities and workplaces.

Mark Doughty: Founder of The Global Kindness Institute, leadership expert and author.

Nirmala Mehendale-Peters: Founder Trustee, Kindness Unlimited, India. She is the first female president of the Bombay Management Association and a past president of the World Kindness Movement.
