The Tools for Brain Health Are in Your Kitchen

While there is still no cure for Alzheimer’s disease — the sixth leading cause of death in America — scientific studies have proven that specific foods can lower the risk of cognitive decline. Find out how when Dr. Marwan Sabbagh presents “The Tools for Brain Health Are in Your Kitchen” on June 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Covenant Village of Florida, a faith-based, not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities. A research professor of neurology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Dr. Sabbagh teamed up with chef Beau MacMillan to write “The Alzheimer’s Prevention Cookbook: Recipes to Boost Brain Health.”

During the event, attendees will learn about specific types of foods, such as cinnamon, fish and pomegranates, which boost brain activity and help reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia. Dr. Sabbagh will also introduce tasty recipes that are both healthy and preventative. Seating for this event is limited. To register, please visit www.CovenantFlorida.org or call 877-670-0889.
