11th Annual Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) will be holding its 11th Annual Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K at Huizenga Plaza, 32 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale on April 24 at 7 a.m.

Runners and walkers will participate in the in-person race. The organization will also provide a virtual participation option and continue to monitor the evolving impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The day’s festivities will also include children’s activities, an awards ceremony, live musical performances and vendor/educational booths. The event will be attended by dignitaries including Walk Like MADD Fort Lauderdale Founder and Honorary Chairperson Heather Geronemus, Volunteer Chairperson Colonel Nichole Anderson, Undersheriff of Broward Sheriff’s Office and Major Robert Chandler of Florida Highway Patrol.

Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale is a community-driven 5K that raises awareness about drunk driving and underage drinking and unites community members around MADD’s mission.

Costs:
Adult 5K Runner and Walker: $35

Youth 5K Runner and Walker (ages 5-18): $25
