31st Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon

Join The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Fort Lauderdale/Broward Chapter for its 31st Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon taking place November 1 at the Signature Grand, 6900 FL-84, Davie, FL. Event sponsorships are available and range from $1,250 to $10,000. Also, ads may also be purchased in the AFP Journal for prices ranging from $50 to $300 and Table Honoree’s will be a table of ten available for purchase for $750.00 or table of ten with a full page ad for $900. Proceeds from the event provide scholarships for professional education and advancement as well as funds for special education opportunities. Support will help shape the quality of fund development practices in dozens of organizations across Broward as well as improve the lives of millions of residents who rely on the organizations that the nonprofit serves.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Fort Lauderdale/Broward Chapter announced the honorees of the 31stAnnual National Philanthropy Day® Awards presented by Signature Grand, a nationally recognized event. This special day is set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy – and those people active in the philanthropic community – have made to our lives and our community here in Broward County.

The general public nominated outstanding Broward philanthropists whose contributions have made a significant impact in the organizations they serve and the community as a whole. Awardees will be honored at a luncheon presented by Signature Grand on Thursday Nov. 1 at Signature Grand, Davie, Fla. Over 500 philanthropists, community leaders, non-profit organizations, and volunteers will gather on National Philanthropy Day to honor these outstanding philanthropic leaders, who have invested their passion, time, talents, and financial support to better our community. The honorees are:

 

Outstanding Philanthropist Award: Kathy and Ron Assaf

Outstanding Large Corporation Award: Florida Power & Light (FPL)

Outstanding Small Corporation Award: Durée & Company

Outstanding Foundation Award: Moss Foundation

Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award: Joshua Williams

Outstanding Organization Award: Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation

Outstanding Fundraising Executive Award: Meredith Feder, CFRE – Museum of Discovery and Science

Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award: Steve J. Halmos

President’s Award (Creative Impact): Broward Education Foundation (in their efforts to raise funds post Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy)
