Alternative Spring Break

United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention’s Broward Youth Coalition (BYC) is partnering with local community organizations to virtually host its Annual Alternative Spring Break program on March 25 from 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. via Zoom.

This FREE program, invites Broward County’s middle school and high school students in grades 7-12 to utilize their Spring Break to give back to the community and will promote mental health awareness, mindfulness tips, and substance use prevention.

This year, Alternative Spring Break will feature the Real Talk Program created by The Recovery Village with Brand Ambassador, Miss Florida Michaela McLean.

Participating students will be awarded community service hours, which can be used to fulfill graduation and scholarship requirements.
To earn community service hours, students must access the virtual discussion through the Zoom link sent to their email upon registering and must attend the webinar for the entire duration of the discussion.

To register, visit www.UnitedWayBroward.org/ASB2021 and a Zoom link will be provided upon registration.
