Covenant Village of Florida to Host One-Day Experiential Women’s Retreat

Using chocolate as a metaphor for God’s grace, Covenant Village of Florida, a faith-based, not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community operated by Covenant Retirement Communities, will host Café Chocolat, a one-day experiential women’s retreat on Saturday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Covenant Village of Florida, 9215 W. Broward Blvd., Plantation.

Worship leader Kathy Nolasco, associate pastor at Plantation United Methodist Church, will lead the
retreat’s six sessions, each of which will reflect on God’s extravagant grace.

“Unlike a typical retreat, we will not have a speaker,” explains retreat leader Karen Cook, community and church relations coordinator for Covenant Village of Florida. “Kathy will lead us in interactive explorations of the evidence of God in our lives and the lives of others. We’ll engage in activities, worship, discussion, reflection and a service project.”
