Dinner at the Square: Ready or Not, Here Growth Comes

Broward College is holding its Dinner at the Square: Ready or Not, Here Growth Comes at Funky Buddha Brewery, 1201 NE 38th St, Oakland Park on February 26 from 6:45 – 8:30 p.m.

Broward County’s population is expect to increase to nearly 2 million people next year. Over the next five years, our community is expected to have 167,320 new residents, bringing the total population over 2.1 million in 2022. Are we ready? How do we balance planning, infrastructure, property rights and growth? In 20 years, what will your neighborhood, city, and county look like? Will our decisions today build a strong legacy? Or will, our oasis become just another metropolis with no sense of place or purpose. Join the conversation and the controversy as the county, cities and developers discuss – Who’s really in charge in developing Broward County?

Members of the Village Square ($68 membership) and 1 guest are invited to attend a cocktail reception prior to the panel discussion from 6:00 – 6:45 p.m. You may sign up to become a member on the registration page.

Panel discussion will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Please arrive by 6:45 p.m.
