Exhibit & Presentation Features “Head of Christ” and Other Artwork by Warner E. Sallman

One of the most familiar and popular paintings of Jesus Christ is “Head of Christ” painted by Warner E. Sallman in 1940. That image, along with a collection of other images and memorabilia, will be featured in an exhibit titled “The Master Painter” beginning Thursday, Feb. 5 through Sunday, Feb. 8, at Covenant Village of Florida. The Rev. LeRoy L. Carlson, founder and president of the Warner E. Sallman Art Collection, Inc., will present a program about Sallman’s life and work on Friday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. in the Rotunda at Covenant Village of Florida, 9215 W. Broward Blvd., Plantation.
