FFTP’s Multinational Virtual Race

Food For The Poor is hosting its first Race For Hunger, a multinational virtual event, June 1 through June 30 in the United States, Canada, and Jamaica.

Participants in the United States, Canada and Jamaica will raise funds to provide 1 million lifesaving meals to children and families throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.

In addition to the 1 million meals, five homes will be built for families in dire need in Jamaica. Participants there will have an opportunity to walk, run or ride to fundraise to build these homes.

FFTP’s Race For Hunger has beginner to advanced fitness challenges, and all ages are invited to join in on the fun. Walkers and runners will have a choice of a 5K, 10K, half marathon or marathon races. This year’s event will offer cyclists a choice of 10 miles, Quarter Century (25 miles), Metric Century (62.13 miles) or Imperial Century (100 miles).

Register and donate at www.FoodForThePoor.org/race There’s a $35 registration fee per person. Each Race For Hunger team consists of up to 10 members committed to meeting the team fundraising goal of $2,000. Individual participants have a $200 goal.
