First Baptist Fort Lauderdale, 301 E Broward Blvd, Fort Lauderdale will hold its “Pursuit of Happiness” Independence Weekend Celebration on July 3 at 5 p.m. & 6:30 p.m., and July 4 at 9 and 11 a.m.
There will be food and family fun, free parking & food trucks at 5 p.m. and a family movie in the auditorium at 6:30 p.m. (in-person only; no online access for the movie) on July 3.
There will also be an orchestra led by Das, a prolific composer, music producer and songwriter who impressively created music for “Game of Thrones,” “Westworld” and Disney, during both of the regular services at 9 and 11 a.m. on July 4.
In addition, Pastor Welch will share a special message entitled, “The Pursuit of Happiness,” in which he will focus on the grand experiment that is America, which was set forth by our nation’s founders, and that —despite recent events —mirrors the discord in current culture. Ultimately, Welch will remind individuals that through faith in Christ, we do have hope.
