Food For The Poor Packs Meals to Honor Parkland Victims

Food For The Poor is partnering with the City of Parkland and Feed My Starving Children for a special food packing event to honor the victims of the deadly shooting two years ago at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Businesses, churches and community groups will gather to pack more than 116,000 meals for Haiti at the MSD Community Commemoration on February 14 at Parkland Recreation and Enrichment Center, 10559 Trails End, Parkland.

The packing sessions will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

At the upcoming event, volunteers will fill plastic bags with cups of white rice and soy, scoops of freeze-dried vegetables, and flavoring containing essential vitamins and nutrients. The MannaPack ingredients are provided by Feed My Starving Children.

There is no cost to participate, but donations will be accepted at the event. To sign up, please visit: www.FoodForThePoor.org/parkland.
