Food For The Poor, 6401 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek will be holding its Hearts United Community Day on April 30 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

FFTP is prepositioning disaster relief kits to ensure rapid response in the event of a disaster in the United States and in the countries we help in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Volunteer with a church, company, school, community group, family or as an individual to help pack disaster hygiene kits and women’s care kits or help sort donations. Leading up to the event, groups are also encouraged to host a collection drive and drop off on April 30. Donations are also needed to help provide the kits.

Items needed:
• Baby diapers
• Baby wipes
• Feminine hygiene pads
• Paper towels
• Toilet paper
• Trash bags
