Highlands Christian Academy 50th Anniversary Celebration

Highlands Christian Academy is pleased to announce the school’s fiftieth-anniversary celebration will take place the first weekend in September.

The festivities will begin on Friday evening, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. when the Highlands’ Knights varsity football team takes on Palmer Trinity. This home game will take place on Knights Field, located on the school campus.

On Saturday, Sept. 5, alumni and supporters of the school will participate in an anniversary golf event at the Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course. There will be a four-man scramble with a shotgun start at 12 noon. Golfers will enjoy the recently renovated Greg Norman Signature Pines Course that features state-of-the-art design. The registration fee includes a boxed lunch and is due August 28, 2015.

Highlands’ fiftieth anniversary banquet will also be held on Saturday, in the school’s gymnasium. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for this semi-formal event. The buffet dinner will include beef tenderloin, citrus chicken, and pasta. Reservations are required by August 14.

The celebration will continue on Sunday, Sept. 6 at Grace Baptist Church, which is located on the same property as the school. Luke Still, a graduate of Highlands and the current youth pastor/campus chaplain, will speak at a special service at 10 a.m.

Sunday afternoon will feature a family picnic that will take place from 2-6:00 p.m. Current students, alumni, and community supporters are encouraged to attend.
