Identity Theft and Senior Scams Seminar

Florida has the highest rate of identity theft and scams among all 50 states and older adults are a prime target. To help area seniors lower their chances of becoming a victim, Covenant Village of Florida will present “Identity Theft and Senior Scams,” a free program on Tuesday, June 6, at 11:30 a.m. Covenant Village of Florida is located at 9215 W. Broward Blvd., Plantation.

Last year, con artists stole $16 billion from 15.4 million Americans, according to the new 2017 Identity Fraud Study from Javelin Strategy & Research. Tom Hilgers of Covenant Trust will explain how to identify the signs of a potential scam, the steps one can take to prevent identity theft, and what one should do if it happens.

Space is limited and reservations are required by calling (954) 472-2860 or visiting www.CovenantFlorida.org/events.
