Christ Church Fort Lauderdale will host United Way of Broward County’s  special Mental Health First Aid training at Sanctuary of the Christ Church Pompano Beach Campus, 200 NE 3rd St., Pompano Beach on November 7 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.

This training is also free and targeted toward church lay leaders who want to be prepared to help those experiencing mental health struggles.
