A lighting ceremony will kick off the 11th annual Home for the Holidays on December 6th from 6 to 9 p.m.raising money to help seriously ill children and their families stay at the Ronald McDonald Houses of Miami and Fort Lauderdale while undergoing treatment at nearby medical facilities. Each light represents one night’s stay for a family with a sick child at the hospital. Hosted by Power 96 morning show host Lucy Lopez, the event is open to everyone and includes live entertainment from Burnie, Miami Heat Dancers, Girl Choir of South Florida, Everglades Elementary, Pump Chapel Bells, a Ronald McDonald live show, kids activities, wine tasting, silent auction, raffles, and culinary delights from South Florida’s favorite restaurants. This holiday event will be held at Ronald McDonald House of Fort Lauderdale, 15 S.E. 15th St., Fort Lauderdale.
