The Sistrunk Parade and Sistrunk Street Festival, on February 28, celebrates the accomplishments of people of African descent with fun family activities. The parade begins at 9 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 400 NW 9th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, and travels along NW 9th Avenue to Sistrunk Boulevard and west along the corridor to Delevoe Park.
