Urban Youth Impact is introducing a new entry to the popular world of South Florida fitness fundraisers with its 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk, featuring a 50-Yard Dash Fun Run for ages 12 and under.
The event will benefit the programs of Urban Youth Impact, a West Palm Beach-based nonprofit organization that provides educational, entrepreneurial and community-building support for disadvantaged area youth.
Urban Youth Impact’s 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk will be held at 7:30 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016 at John Prince Park, 4759 South Congress Avenue, Lake Worth, FL. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m.
The 5K Run/Walk will be race timed by Accuchip Timing, and medals will be awarded for different age groups. Advance registration for the 5K Run/Walk, until April 19, is $30 per person; registration for the 50-Yard Dash Fun Run for ages 12 and under is $10 per person. Those who just wish to support the organization can sponsor an Urban Youth Impact youth for $25 through the registration page.
