Wayne Huizenga Jr. to present “I am Second” on Nov. 13

Covenant Village of Florida, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities, will welcome Wayne Huizenga Jr. as he shares his journey toward finding faith. Huizenga will present “I am Second,” on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m.

Having been born into a family of privilege, Huizenga made his own fortune with Blockbuster Video. Along the way he enjoyed the perks of living in a world of wealth, with fancy cars, yachts and private jets. He owned his own sports teams and dined and drank with the rich and famous. Yet, says Huizenga, “I was happy in my life, but I never felt fulfilled.”

Huizenga will share his own personal story about how an unlikely friendship with a nuclear submarine captain led to a transformative change in his life, and how finding his relationship with God allowed him to find fulfillment.

Huizenga is the president of Huizenga Holdings, Inc., and chairman of the board of Rybovich, a super yacht marina and refit facility in West Palm Beach, Fla. Palm Beach Atlantic University awarded the American Free Enterprise Medal to Huizenga in 2011, and in 2013 Gov. Rick Scott appointed him to the Board of Governors of the State University System for a term of seven years.

Space is limited. For more information or to register for the event, call today at 877-670-0889 or visit www.CovenantFlorida.org. Covenant Village of Florida is located at 9215 W. Broward Blvd., Plantation, Fla.
