“What We Play is Life” by MSD High School Eagle Regiment

This will be a night of Jazz featuring the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Jazz Bands and Coral Springs Middle School Jazz Band. The high school jazz band will be joined on stage and play with world renowned 14 time Grammy Award winning artist Herbie Hancock, Lincoln Center Jazz artist Wycliffe Gordon, and 14 time Grammy Award musician Paquito D’Rivera.

The 4th Annual Jazz Night will raise funds to support the Alex Schacter Scholarship Foundation as well as the Coral Springs Middle School and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School band programs.

For the fourth consecutive year, The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated will sponsor the annual jazz show. At 6 p.m. The Cheesecake Factory will present a “Courtyard Cafe” pre-show event that will include complimentary beverages, appetizers, and desserts under the lighted oak trees in the courtyard. A separate ticket is required for the pre-show “Courtyard Cafe” event. The size of the courtyard limits the number of tickets that will be sold for The Cheesecake Factory “Courtyard Cafe.”

The evening of Jazz will begin at 6 p.m. with the Coral Springs Middle School jazz band performing on the courtyard stage. All guests attending the “Courtyard Cafe” will be able to watch and listen to the middle school jazz band. “Courtyard Cafe” tickets are not required to see the CSMS jazz band, however, they are needed to enter the “Courtyard Cafe” pre-show event.

6  – 6:45 p.m.: Pre-show courtyard cafe food and dessert ticket.
7 p.m.: The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Jazz Bands along with Herbie Hancock, Wycliffe Gordon and Paquito D’Rivera will perform in the main auditorium.

The Cheesecake Factory is providing beverages, appetizers, and their most popular cheesecakes. Food and Dessert ticket required for entrance to the pre-show courtyard cafe.

Ticket prices vary depending on seat: $40, $30, $20 per person. Tickets for the “Courtyard Cafe” pre-show sponsored by the Cheesecake Factory are $20 each.

Proceeds benefit the Alex Schachter Scholarship Foundation as well as the CSMS and MSD band programs.
