In recognition of April being Parkinson’s Awareness Month, Parkinson’s Foundation South Palm Beach County Chapter is hosting a “Lunch and Learn” event titled “Why I Can’t Sleep” facilitated by Ed Gray, occupational therapist and founder of Florida Movement Therapy Center. Parkinson’s Foundation just released a new book on sleep that will be discussed during the lecture. Following the event, attendees can also learn more about what the South Palm Beach Chapter offers and enjoy dessert.
Also available are two free Rock Steady Boxing classes, one of the Foundation’s most popular classes. These classes are taught by Florida Movement Therapy Center, a proud community partner to the Parkinson Foundation’s South Palm Beach County Chapter. Additional classes also are available throughout the month.
Schedule:
Noon – 1:30 p.m.: “Why I Can’t Sleep” Lunch and Learn event. A light bite lunch will be served.
1:30- 2 p.m.: Learn more about what the South Palm Beach County Chapter offers and enjoy dessert.
Rock Steady Boxing at 2 p.m. for the advanced class; 3 p.m. for beginners and new participants
