WODAMANIA Beachfront Fitness Competition with a Purpose

Athletes from across the nation will gather at sunrise on November 3 at Singer Islands Riviera Beach for an annual fitness competition – all with a purpose to benefit South Florida’s largest children’s organization, Place of Hope. WODAMANIA  Beachfront Fitness Competition with a Purpose will take place at 5 p.m. This is a free, family friendly event open to the public. This is the fifth annual event, but the first year on the beach. “The event has grown tremendously year after year and we are excited to have outgrown our local box. We asked ourselves where else better than to take it to our local beach?” – Tommie Belmont, CF Wild Co-Owner. The all-day festival will take over Singer Islands waterfront Ocean Avenue at Riviera Beach Municipal Park offering fitness goers, spectators and passerby’s a piece of the action in paradise. Spectators will be treated to incredible feats of athleticism, a vendor expo, not to mention iconic views of pristine waters and sandy beaches of South Florida. Heats will run until 5:10 p.m. and will be followed by a block party until 8 p.m.. This is a free, family friendly event open to the public.

Over the past 4 years, WODAMANIA has given support to local non-profit organizations. This year, it will be supporting nationally recognized, local children’s organization, Place of Hope. Since 2001, the children’s organization has been providing family-style foster care (emergency and long-term); family outreach and intervention; maternity care; safety for victims of domestic minor sex trafficking; transitional housing and support services for youth aging out of foster care; housing and support services for homeless families; foster care recruitment and support; hope and healing opportunities for children and families who have been traumatized by abuse and neglect through the South Florida region. Place of Hope is rated #1 in the nation for “youth development, crisis services and shelter” by Charity Navigator and has received a four out of four star rating six consecutive years by Charity Navigator.

Athlete registration will close at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24. Divisions include RX, Masters, Scaled and Beginners. Cash prizes will be given to RX & Masters podium athletes.
