9th Annual Behavioral Health Conference: The Power of Prevention

$100United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention, in collaboration with the Broward Behavioral Health Coalition and Florida Department of Children and Families, will present the 9th Annual Behavioral Health Conference: The Power of Prevention at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale on May 14 and 15 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. to promote community awareness and support of behavioral health and substance use prevention.
- The Annual two-day Behavioral Health
Conference serves as a platform for professionals in the behavioral and mental health fields to share insights, research, and best practices in promoting mental health and well-being. The two-day event emphasizes the critical role of prevention strategies in enhancing overall behavioral health. - The Conference will feature renowned psychologists, professors, trauma and grief specialists, leading diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) experts, and prevention specialists who will provide crucial continuing education.
- Participants will have the opportunity to learn from these thought leaders, network with industry peers, and discuss issues related to research, policy and practice.
- The Conference Tracks will include Professional Development, Faith-Based Focus, Social Determinants of Behavioral Health, Innovative Initiatives, Trauma-Responsive Initiative, Youth Prevention Interventions, Collaboration and Integration and Mental Health Promotion.
- Licensed Clinicians and Certified Professionals can earn CEU credits.
- Keynote Speakers include: Joe Roberts, Jamira Burley, Amanda Andere and Dr. Mimi Graham. More speakers will be announced soon.
