The Museum of Discovery and Science, 401 SW 2nd St, Fort Lauderdale will be holding the opening of newest childhood exhibit, Discovery Spot on August 4 at 10 a.m.

The highly anticipated exhibit, presented by JM Family Enterprises, will encompass 4,000 square feet of Museum space, and will allow young scientists (ages 0-6) and their families to explore the wonder of Florida’s ecosystems.

From Ocean to Air and the Everglades to the Citrus Grove, children are invited to splash, climb, tinker and explore. Each area supports a child’s open-ended, role-playing and imaginative play. The new Discovery Spot celebrates the Museum’s legacy as The Discovery Center, which was installed as a permanent exhibit space at the Museum when it opened in 1992 and welcomed more than 12 million guests from every state and countless countries over the past three decades.
