SOS Children’s Villages Florida will be hosting its premier annual gala, The Emerald Ball at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood on October 25 from 7 – 11 p.m.

This highly anticipated fundraising event will bring together community leaders and philanthropists for a night of enchantment, raising critical funds to support children and young adults with lived experience in the foster care system.

This black-tie affair—glimmering in emerald green and gold—promises an unforgettable evening of inspiration, luxury, and community impact.

SOS will proudly present the 2025 Children’s Champion Award to Ryan Case, Corporate Director of Facility Renovation and Expansion at Rick Case Automotive Group. A devoted community leader and philanthropist, Ryan has been recognized by both Automotive News and South Florida Business Journal for his impact on business and service to children’s causes, including Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.

The evening will be emceed by acclaimed actor and director Mykelti Williamson, known for his roles in 24, Ali, Boomtown, Con Air, Justified, and The Purge: Election Year. Guests will enjoy an unparalleled entertainment featuring platinum record selling artist, Rachel Platten, best known for her inspirational anthem “Fight Song.” She is also known for “Stand By You,” another empowering anthem, and her song “Girls,” written for her daughters, focusing on themes of empowerment and resilience. Rachel’s music has resonated deeply with fans worldwide, touching on themes of overcoming challenges and finding strength in difficult times.

The festivities will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by dinner, a live auction, and show-stopping entertainment from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The 2025 gala is chaired by Christopher Barnett, President of The Christopher M. Barnett Family Foundation and Founder & Chairman of ABA Centers, alongside his wife and SOS Board Member Julie Barnett. The Barnett Family Foundation is dedicated to supporting children’s causes, education, and community development, empowering at-risk children and families through various programs that create lasting positive impact.
