Better Together will be holding its Miami Nationwide Day of Second Chances Job Fair at, Miami Vineyard Community Church, 12727 SW 122nd Ave, Miami on April 20 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Job fairs will feature employers who are prepared to interview Miami-area job seekers and offer jobs on the spot, giving hope to those who are struggling to break through the impersonal and unforgiving algorithms of online job applications. Participating employers include Florida Department of Corrections, Housing Opportunities Project for Excellence (HOPE), OIC of South Florida, South Dade Branch of the NAACP, U.S. Army and Village of Palmetto Bay.

Additional resources include free one-on-one job coaching sessions to review resumes and interviewing skills, free haircuts and clothing to help candidates feel and look their best. Resources will be provided by organizations including CCI Training Center, Bringing Opportunities Everywhere, Chainless Change, Ladies Empowerment & Action Program, Navigation Program at Epilepsy Alliance Florida, OIC of South Florida, Standup Wireless, VIP Reentry Services and West Kendall Baptist Hospital. Nearly all job seekers leave with hope in their hearts as candidates ring the opportunity bell upon receiving a job offer or interview as a celebration of their wins.
