MLK Day of Service

January 16, 2023

Palm Beach Atlantic University, 901 S Flagler Dr, West Palm Beach and Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s Jewish Volunteer Center and Jewish Community Relations Council will be holding the MLK Day of Service on January 16.

Now in its eighth year, this local program typically brings together nearly 1,000 members of all faiths, races and ages to volunteer with organizations across Palm Beach County, and then join together for a ceremony of solidarity against all forms of hate.
There are two ways to participate:
Volunteer through service opportunities: Engage in hands-on volunteer projects that are open to all ages and abilities.  Volunteer opportunities available throughout Palm Beach County include sorting at food banks, beach cleanup, community revitalization projects, animal care and more.

Join together during MLK Day ceremony: Following a morning of service, join with hundreds of community members at 4 p.m. to recognize the commitment of Dr. King’s legacy. Get an inside look at the Palm Beach County Remembrance Project, a groundbreaking initiative to address our county’s local history, plus hear reflections from our local community’s recent Civil Rights Journey to Alabama and Georgia, and honor the recipients of the annual Tikkun Olam Award, presented to three individuals for their efforts to represent Dr. King’s vision for a tolerant, just and kind world.
