The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 39 is holding a Safe Boating Class at The Sea School, 2150 South Andrews Avenue, Suite 202, Fort Lauderdale on May 3 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is the volunteer uniformed component of the United States Coast Guard. Over 26,000 members across the country in every state serve their community and country.

USCG Auxiliarists do the following:

· Support the operations of the United States Coast Guard.

· Promote and improve recreational boating safety through education and advocacy.

· Provide trained crews and facilities to enhance the safety and security of the waterways of the United States.

· Further the Homeland Security Mission of the U.S. Coast Guard.

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 39, holds multiple boating safety classes throughout the year to educate the public on boating safety. Florida has many waterways that are used by thousands of people each day. The aim of these classes is to educate and save lives. Education saves lives!
