Habitat for Humanity of Broward is holding applications for its homeownership program on its website until March 31. The new energy efficient, two-story townhomes will include three to four bedrooms, garages, modern kitchens, landscaped yards, and hurricane impact windows. These locations are close to city centers, schools, churches, recreational and shopping amenities with easy access to transportation and major traffic corridors. Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church and Habitat for Humanity will be holding the Holes for Homes golf tournament at Pompano Beach Golf Course, 1101 N Federal Hwy, Pompano Beach on May 20 at 12 p.m. This tournament will raise funds to support HomesUnited and the ministry to serve those in Broward County who are homeless and in need of Housing. here will also be a raffle and a silent auction. Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church will be taking part in a Volunteer Day with Habitat for Humanity at BBI Village Site, 1923 NW 9th Ave, Fort Lauderdale on May 3 from 7:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. This is a "hands-on" service project and a great opportunity to positively impact the community with the love of Jesus. No storage available (so less is best). Volunteers should wear comfortable, long pants or shorts and sturdy, closed-toe shoes (sneakers are acceptable – no sandals, flip-flops, or dress shoes).
