Three years ago, Hunter Tully, both a foster and adoptive parent as well as Champion and business partner with 4KIDS, casted a vision of building a team of dedicated athletes to represent 4KIDS in the Race Across America (RAAM). Considered the world’s most grueling continual cycling race, RAAM was a unique opportunity for Tully and the 4Cyclists4KIDS team to leverage their talents to give back to a mission that matters most to them — creating brighter futures for kids in foster care. The team, comprised of four ultra-endurance cyclists and 10 crew members spent nearly 9 days biking across 12 states, trekking over 3,000 miles! “Along the journey, we raised awareness of the hundreds of thousands of kids in foster care and the work 4KIDS is doing to provide hope, homes, and healing for children and families in crisis,” says Tully. In the early hours of the morning of June 27th, the team crossed the finish line with flying colors, ranking #1 in the mixed team division (two males, two females) under 50 of the race! Raising tens of thousands from individuals and businesses, these incredible advocates brought national attention to 4KIDS with each leg of their cross-country adventure.
