4KIDS Culinary Takeoff Fuels Futures

On Friday, April 5th, new and long-time advocates alike came together to ‘fuel futures’ for kids at the 4KIDS Culinary Takeoff. Hosted at the hangar on-site Banyan Air Service, over 150 guests enjoyed an evening filled with culinary delights, live entertainment, and the chance to mingle among luxury jets. Consistent with the name of the event, one of the biggest draws of the night was the opportunity to sample delectable small plates, mocktails, and desserts showcased by 15 different Culinary Partners. From Spanish tapas to Poke bowls, a variety of cultures and styles of cooking were represented and celebrated at this inaugural event.

Pastor Steve Daigle

During the program, Pastor Steve Daigle, 4KIDS Board Member, shared he and his wife’s personal testimony of adopting two brothers out of foster care, and how the decision to get involved with 4KIDS changed their lives for the better. While not everyone is called to foster, Daigle encouraged all in attendance to consider the exponential impact that a monthly gift can have for nonprofits like 4KIDS who are working to break cycles of generational abuse and neglect across our communities. All in all, over $40,000 was raised to ‘fuel futures’ for children and families in crisis, with many leaving empowered to turn their advocacy into action.
