Habitat for Humanity of Broward hosted a community celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 25 to commemorate the completion of “A Rick Case Habitat Community” and the dedication of Founders Park honoring Edmund Ansin, Rick Case and Bob Leider. The now completed 76-home development in Pompano Beach marks the accomplishment of Broward County’s largest workforce housing neighborhood, home to more than 300 residents.

The event featured a family-friendly Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat for homeowners and their children, along with remarks by community sponsors, city and county officials and Habitat for Humanity of Broward team members.

“A Rick Case Habitat Community” was made possible by Edmund Ansin of Sunbeam/WSVN Channel 7, and Rita and Rick Case of Rick Case Automotive Group who stepped forward with a leadership gift to name this historic new community and provided much of the funding for the infrastructure.

The project, costing over $20 million, was also made possible by Bob Leider, the Mary N. Porter Legacy Fund of the Community Foundation of Broward, the City of Pompano Beach, the Hudson Family Foundation, Burdette Beckmann, Inc., the Robert Taylor Family, the Wadsworth Family Foundation, the Elizabeth Peters Estate, the Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation, the Estate of Renate Wylie, the Robert L. Elmore Estate, JM Family Enterprises and other contributors and volunteers.
