GOOD NEWS WANTS TO KNOW….

We would like to get your honest, constructive feedback concerning the GOOD NEWS. Your response is important to us. This month, GOOD NEWS WANTS TO KNOW… What features do you like in the GOOD NEWS? What content would you like to see more of? What content would you like to see less of? Is there anything else you might like to see in the GOOD NEWS?

H. Collins Forman, Esq.

What I like about the GOOD NEWS is that it keeps me abreast of things that are happening in the Christian community, something other publications typically don’t do. Perhaps an op-ed page would be an interesting addition. Thanks for keeping your finger on the pulse of things and for serving the body of Christ the way you do.

William “Bill” C. Davell, Director, Tripp Scott

The GOOD NEWS has become an exceptional paper. The articles are on point, up to date and interesting. The variety of authors provides for topics that are relevant to various interests. A gauge of the amount of interest and readership is clearly reflected in the online responses and views. There is nothing I would like to see less of but I would like to see a column titled: “Local Pastors Speak.” Each month the GN would interview a local pastor including those from small churches. Also, I suggest it’s time to start expanding with articles or interviews and ads from Dade and Palm Beach County. Keep up the great work!

Bob Denison, President, Denison Yachting

The GOOD NEWS could use two pages of nothing but old comics strips. Just recycle the best the 80’s gave us and go heavy on THE FAR SIDE & DILBERT.

Chip LaMarca, State Representative, Florida House District 100

The GOOD NEWS is an excellent magazine, mostly because it is not the typical magazine with too many real estate ads and other filler. It is faith based, and I like the responses from the contributors the most. It gives you an insight into how your friends and neighbors feel about so many issues and life experiences. I am generally happy with the mix of content and advertisements. Love it the way it is. Would it be too expensive to move to a glossy format (away from newsprint)? Thank you for allowing me to share my input.

Deborah Cusick, FAU Campus Volunteer, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship

I’ve been reading the GOOD NEWS newspaper for over 15 years and am impressed with how much the quality has improved. I love reading all the “top of the line” contributors you include. Perhaps, some personal God glory stories/miracles would be a nice addition.

Gregg Wallick, Wallick Family Office

I have given this much thought and read the sections that catch my interest and don’t read the sections that don’t get my attention that month. Overall, I look forward to each month’s issue.

Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Ph.D., President/CEO, Community Foundation of Broward

I always like to learn about different organizations working together to serve and expand their reach. What are they able to do together that they could not do on their own?

Jesse Carroccio, Community Impact Director, Moody Global Media

I truly appreciate the various features highlighting local individuals and ministries that are advancing the Kingdom of God in South Florida throughout the year.

Joe Vitkus, Senior Rabbi, Temple Aaron HaKodesh

I would like to hear more about how the Feasts of the Lord are God’s redemptive plan for all of mankind fulfilled on the very days by Yeshua Himself, and in perfect chronological order.

Shouldn’t we all then celebrate the moedim/Feasts of the Lord?

Joe Vitkus, Senior Rabbi, Temple Aaron HaKodesh

Kevin Granato, Vice President of Engagement, 4KIDS

It’s always great to see the Kingdom being advanced by the faith community! I’d love to see more examples of how the readers were impacted by the content in the GOOD NEWS.

Larry Lacy, Pastor, The Answer Church

Frankly, I think the GOOD NEWS is doing a great job from cover to cover. From features to advertisements. Nothing lacking! Excellent!

Dr. Mary Drabick, President, South Florida Bible College & Theological Seminary

I really enjoy the positive, community-focused stories in the GOOD NEWS. The features highlighting local people, faith, outreach, and real-life impact are uplifting and refreshing compared to typical news. I especially like stories that show how individuals and organizations are making a difference in South Florida.  I would love to see more profiles of local changemakers, behind-the-scenes looks at ministries and nonprofits, and practical resources for getting involved in community service. Stories that connect faith to everyday life are also meaningful and encouraging.

Mike McDermott, Seniors and Probate Specialist, The Keyes Company

Omar Aleman’s unique perspective is a must read for me every month. I also appreciate Bill Davell’s legal analysis. And the GOOD NEWS WANTS TO KNOW segment is a real thought starter. It is hard to improve upon perfection! Keep up the Good (News) Work.

Dr. Mike Rozenblum, Genesis Physical Medicine & Chiropractic

I love the GOOD NEWS! I love the Good News of Jesus, and I love the GOOD NEWS monthly publication. This is our community. These are our people. I think it would be really great if there was a section that had more focus on opportunities for people to connect. It would be fantastic if those opportunities could be divided into different categories such as singles, young families, seniors, especially single seniors, etc. In the midst of a busy and crowded South Florida, it is not good for anybody to be alone.

Milan Stefanovic, Chief Operations & Personal Lines Officer, Bass Underwriters – Plantation

I enjoy reading the articles from our local Christian pastors and leaders of our community. And the digital version of GOOD NEWS is easy to read and share with friends and family. I would like to see an area where we can share resources or special events that churches are conducting or holding. For example, my wife and I have been very involved with Relate Well Live Well (previously Live the Life of S FL). Now we are leading the Family & Marriage ministry at New Covenant Church, and we are having two special events for marriages at our church, NCC. We are having a weekend conference with Relate Well Live Well in March (27th & 28th). Then we are offering a 7-week marriage course every Wednesday from April 1st to May 13th. It would be great to have this available as a resource for other churches who have members struggling in this area or just looking for something to refresh their marriage.

Oksana Horton, Creative Director, Torch and Trumpet Theatre Company

I so appreciate GOOD NEWS and what it provides for our South Florida community from articles featured by Dr. O.S. Hawkins and our local leaders. I also enjoy seeing and hearing about local churches and ministries that are serving our Christian and local community. Thank you!

I am honored to be a part of the GOOD NEWS Family for many years, and I love EVERYTHING about the magazine!!! I read it monthly (hardcopy edition) which comes in the mail (LOVE THAT). I’m always in awe of the variety of topics covered (AMAZING). The consistency and attention to detail on how the GOOD NEWS covers every incredible Ministry in our area… For every need in the world there is a resource to serve that need (GRATEFUL). Thank you, Les and the GOOD NEWS Staff. (YOU ALL ARE AWESOME)!!

Reading about what other ministries are doing in Broward County is certainly an interesting read and very encouraging. It would also be interesting to see more articles on current events in the world, written from a Christian worldview.

Steve Daigle, Campus Pastor, Calvary Chapel Parkland

The features that I like best in the GOOD NEWS are the annual non-profit and Christians Leaders covers in November and December, the advertisements for churches and, of course, the GOOD NEWS WANTS TO KNOW section. I would like to see more churches spotlighted in articles sharing what God is doing through them and less of the Classified section, which I know is helpful, but could utilize that space differently and push those to online links to reference as needed. I do love the fact that we have such a large Christian publication that is in so many places across South Florida and pray that God continues to use this ministry to reach more people for His Glory.

Steve Daigle, Campus Pastor, Calvary Chapel Parkland

Steve Solomon, Area Director, CBMC South Florida

I appreciate how GOOD NEWS shares Christ-centered stories of transformation, highlights marketplace ministry, encourages bold faith in business, and unites churches across our region to advance the Gospel with relevance, integrity, and community impact. I think it would have great impact if more individuals were featured in a section or column on how their faith has impacted them.

Tewannah Aman, Executive Director, Broward Right to Life

I love the GOOD NEWS. It is a gift to have a newspaper that thoughtfully speaks into so many areas of our Christian life. The articles on faith and culture, parenting, marriage, and the daily challenges we face do more than inform — they strengthen and equip us to walk more faithfully with the Lord. As the leader of a pro-life organization, I am especially grateful for your courageous and compassionate coverage on abortion. From powerful personal testimonies of healing to clear, principled engagement on the Amendment 4 debate, GOOD NEWS addresses these issues with both truth and grace. That kind of balanced, faithful witness is deeply needed. Thank you for being a voice of clarity, courage, and encouragement for the Body of Christ.
