Project Homeless Connect

June 22 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

The Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County and the Palm Beach County Community Services Department will be holding the Project Homeless Connect event at St Gregory Episcopal Church, 100 NE Mizner Blvd, Boca Raton on June 22 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Project Homeless Connect will be a one-stop resource hub offering homeless individuals across the county access to emergency preparedness information, personal care services, food, clothing, and so much more, all in one place on one day. This includes access to haircuts, showers, hot food and services like legal aid, medical insurance navigation, medical check-ups, resources for homeless youth, seniors, mothers, pet care and emergency resources and information on where to go and what to do and what is available to them if a hurricane or dangerous heatwave hits this summer.  Project Homeless Connect is a community response to the growing and misunderstood crisis of homelessness. Over 1500 individuals in Palm Beach County are living without stable housing, a figure that includes a rising number of so-called “working homeless” men and women who hold jobs, contribute to their communities, and still cannot afford a roof over their heads.

Key Services & Vendors Available On-Site include:
  • Essential ID & Legal Care: Assistance with getting “document ready” (IDs, birth certificates) legal aid and medical insurance navigation.
  • Health & Wellness: On-site medical checkups, dental care appointments, haircuts and shower units.
  • Youth & Family Support: Dedicated vendors serving homeless youth, including resources for children of unhoused working mothers.
  • Pet Care: Veterinary and support services for the companion animals of those experiencing homelessness.
