This month, Good News Wants to Know… Assuming you already share the gospel, if you could have 15 minutes of FAME as an International Celebrity, how would you use that platform?
If I could have 15 minutes of fame as an international celebrity, I would use it to encourage and uplift those around the world who are hurting mentally and physically as a result of the various wars in places like Israel, Gaza, Sudan, Lebanon, Ukraine and other places around the world. I believe that one’s fame should be used to glorify God and help those who are less fortunate.

If I can’t share the Gospel with my 15 minutes of fame, I would seek to share the plight of the unborn first and then also the plight of foster children. We must stop killing babies in the womb if we are going to survive as a world and then provide a home for every child. I would encourage support for Hope Women’s Centers and for 4KIDS.

Understanding that incredibly low-cost products have labor trafficking in their supply chain, so understand who you are buying from. We are in a time of division and chaos, not unlike in prior biblical history; the difference I’ve learned is that humans repeat themselves, not history. I would first off state God’s greatest gift to us is the sanctity of human life. That every life God creates is created for His purpose, and no man or woman has a right to exterminate that beautiful gift. If I had 15 minutes of fame as an international celebrity, I would take the Apostle Paul’s approach as outlined in 1 Corinthians 1:17. Paul was clear that his mission was to preach the Gospel, “not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.” I would use that platform not to impress with eloquent speech or try to captivate with worldly wisdom, but simply to proclaim the message of Christ crucified — the heart of the Gospel. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)

If I had an international platform for 15 minutes, I would spend that time talking about how servant leadership is so important in our families, businesses and for society to not only survive but to flourish. Emphasizing how many of our societal issues can be addressed if people are willing to serve others and lead with both strength and grace, is an important conversation in the world we live in. Of course, as a believer that all good things come from God, the 15 minutes would be sprinkled with pointing out how the fruits of the spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control are the tools we need to practice servant leadership.
