“Beauty for Ashes” is a unique production which combines dance, drama and more to expose the present day tragedy known as Human Trafficking. While Human Trafficking may be the current “technical term” to define the movement of humans across state and international borders, the heart wrenching reality is that it’s slavery.
Men, women and children being sold for the purposes of sexual exploitation, child soldiers and/or forced labor is so unbelievable to comprehend, that it’s left many in denial and disbelief. But it’s more than real. What’s more shocking is that it’s not only happening in third world countries, it’s happening right here in the US… it’s happening right here in South Florida.
Human slavery is the fastest growing, lucrative industry in the world today. Precious lives God created reduced to mere commodities sold and used over and over again for the sole purpose of making a profit. Many are identified as runaway children; some are the daughter of our next door neighbor. Surely the heart of our Heavenly Father must break; this was never what He intended for His creation.
Make seeing this performance a priority so that you’ll understand the gravity of what’s happening in our world and in our own backyard. Event dates are February 3rd and 4th at 7:30 p.m. and February 5th at 8 p.m. at the Calvary Chapel Theatre, located at 2401 West Cypress Creek Road, Fort Lauderdale.
