BiG Children’s Foundation held a Groundbreaking Ceremony for their Education Center for at-risk youth on Friday, November 8 in Oakland Park. BiG Children’s Foundation is on a mission to change the trajectory of at-risk teens, who have entered the foster care system as victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment, setting them on a path to success. They aim to do this by restoring their health, training them to be self-sufficient and providing the skills, education and professional development they need to thrive. The Education Center will include a multi-purpose education space, artspace and learning lounge as well as a health and nature garden, and office space. Once completed, the Education Center will serve 100’s of at-risk youth as they go through their iMfit2SUCCEED program.
